Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where can I have my skip set down? A: You can have your skip set off in your garden, driveway, building site or basically any privately owned ground. Please be aware whilst our drivers will take as much care as possible when setting your skip off we cannot be held responsible for any damage done to flags, overhanging trees/wires, driveway etc when acting upon your instructions.
Q: Is there anything I cannot put in the skip? A: Yes, the following items cannot be put in the skip: Food, Fridges, Asbestos, Tyres, Liquids, Any Hazardous Waste, Fluorescent tubes, Clinical Waste, Plasterboard, Paint Tins (full or empty), Batteries, Gas Cylinders, Television/Monitors, Oils
Q: How full can I load the skip? A: You must only fill the skip to the “FILL LEVEL” anything above this level will only leave our drivers in a position where they will have to level the load to make it a safe load to travel with, if they are stopped by the authorities with an unsafe load their licence is at stake and can also cause a risk to other motorists with risk of stray objects.
Q; What size do I need? A: Please feel free to contact our sales team for help with this as it may be a costly purchase if the skip is overfilled and you need to get a second one.
Q: How long can I keep the skip? A: The Midi, Bulker & RORO containers are for a 3 day hire, the Builders skip is for a week hire.
Q: Where does my waste go after it is collected? A: Once we collect your full container it is then transported to our Licensed Waste Transfer Station where it is sorted into the various waste streams and recycled/land filled as appropriate for the particular waste.
Q: Can we bring waste to your site? A: Yes you can bring your waste to us at our depot at 1 Duncrue Pass, this must be paid in cash before tipping.
